iPhone and Android app: data on your device

Version 1.0.0 stores your recorded food and drink levels, favourites, meal schedule, copied clinician practice instructions, optional practice amounts, session logs and reminder preferences on your device. It uses protected device storage. This native version has no account sign-in, cloud backup, advertising or analytics collection and does not transmit these records to Stroke Technology, Inc. or share them through a server. Its browser preview instead uses unencrypted browser storage.

Records remain available between sessions until you reset Food data or the device's stored app data is removed. In Plan, choose Reset Food data on this device and confirm to remove this app's local records and stop its scheduled reminders. If the app reports a storage error, retry and check that the reset completed. This does not delete a separate web or HealStroke account, records on another device, or files you previously exported. Do not rely on uninstalling alone as confirmation that every stored copy was erased.

Notification permission is requested only when you choose a phone reminder or test notification. Reminders are scheduled locally; this feature does not register a remote push token. You can turn reminders off in Plan or change permission in your phone settings. No camera, microphone, location or health-platform access is used by this native version.

External references, the web app and support links open outside the native record. Visiting a website sends connection information to its hosting provider. Sending an email shares the information you choose with the recipient and your email provider; avoid sending medical records, passwords or sign-in codes. The browser account features described below are separate from native device storage.

On this device: browser app

The web app uses browser storage for profiles, food and drink levels, user-recorded daily meal schedules, meal and symptom logs, favourites, preferences and other entries. Browser storage is not encrypted by this app. Anyone using the same unlocked browser may be able to see these records.

Signing out leaves local records on the device. Account switching can retain separate local account copies. Clearing site data in your browser removes device copies and signs you out; it does not erase cloud backups or files you previously exported.

Optional account backup

When you sign in, your Food profile, meal log and favourites synchronize through Supabase in the shared StrokeTech service. These can include names, health-related levels, symptoms and notes. Your email and sign-in session are used for authentication. Google or Apple also processes sign-in information if you choose that provider.

Name and shared setup answers, such as care setting, stroke timing and learning interests, can be shared with HealStroke and StrokeTech. Linking your own prescribed diet is optional. A caregiver’s saved plan is not automatically treated as their own medical plan.

This release has no self-service cloud or shared-account deletion control. Contact the team about deletion or access requests. Do not assume cloud erasure is complete until it is confirmed. Deleting a shared identity may affect other StrokeTech products, so the scope must be agreed first.

Exports, photos and external services

  • Settings’ full backup can include names and health notes. Keep downloaded files private. Other sharing tools have different contents; inspect them before sharing.
  • The photo-coach preview displays a selected photo locally and does not upload it through that feature. It cannot measure a food’s texture or confirm swallowing safety.
  • Vercel hosts the website; Supabase provides account and backup services. Hosting requests include technical connection information such as IP addresses. Some existing pages load images from external providers; external links and email drafts involve those providers when used.
  • The Expo app stores recorded levels, favourites, daily meal schedules and, when used, copied clinician practice instructions and session logs in protected device storage. Its browser preview uses unencrypted browser storage. Resetting Food data removes these device records. Native cloud sign-in and backup are not connected.

Questions and requests

Use the contact page or email hello@stroke.food. Start with the request type and the account email; do not send passwords, sign-in codes or medical records. A request is not proof of completed deletion.

Contact the team

For access, correction or deletion questions about information you have sent to the team or an optional browser account, contact hello@stroke.food. State which product and records your request concerns. Native records remain under your device's controls; contacting support does not remotely erase them. No regulatory certification is claimed by this notice.

Optional reminders & installation

Browser reminder settings stay in this browser, separately for each signed-in account or local session. They are not included in account backup. Native phone reminders and their settings stay on that phone. You choose whether to allow notifications; their general check-in message contains no name, food or drink level, or other care detail.

No push subscription or device push token is registered or sent to a server by this reminder feature. Browser reminders require an open, visible app. A calendar file contains a general daily check-in; importing it sends that event to your chosen calendar provider. Change or remove imported events in your calendar app. Turning off browser reminders does not remove calendar events.

The web service worker caches only the public offline connection screen and app icons. It does not cache account pages, authentication responses, care plans or logs. The current browser app does not provide full offline access to personal care pages.
